This municipality carries more than 300 years of history, to be discovered by walking through its legacy. Rich with churches of diverse denominations, from its well-to-do homes or of a long ago time, the charming loyalist village of  Saint-André-d' Argenteuil, crossed by the rivière du Nord, just as you would see in a bucolic frame. The growth of recreational tourism of the Carillon sector starts with the development and planning of the “Boisé Von Allmen », grooved with a section of the “Route verte”. Other notable assets, hydroelectric dam, the lock permits to thousands of boating enthusiasts to surmount a difference in the water levels of up to 24 meters in 45 minutes. You will also find a rustic campground on the banks of the Outaouais river.  The surrounding land has the greatest potential for agriculture of all of Argenteuil; it is not surprising that even today agriculture is intensely practiced.
